Proton causes a news story with Preve


KUALA LUMPUR, 16 April (Bernama) - Proton Holdings Bhd has a new era with the launch of Proton Preve, which was opened specifically to meet the needs of customers around the world, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said today.

Najib said at the launching ceremony of the latest model of the national car company, which was at the Malaysia International Exhibition & Conference Centre in Seri Kembangan near here this evening held.

Also present was a consultant doing proton Dr Mahathir Mohamad. DRB-HICOM Bhd is now the largest shareholder in Proton after the acquisition of a 42.74 percent equity arm of the government, Khazanah Nasional Bhd.

Welcoming the completion of the new car, with global standards for engineering and performance and other value additions, including Internet 4G, Najib said Preve one class over many other cars were.

He said the Minister of International Trade and Industry, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed is to conduct the review.
